Joe was born Monday, May 9, 1932 in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Brownie Hennessee and Janie McGee Hennessee.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his;
wife - Martha May Hennessee of Morrison
daughter - Anna Lorene Higgins of McMinnville
2 step-sons Donnie Stotts and wife Barbara of Viola
Jimmy Stotts and wife Ruth of Summitville
3 grandchildren - Seth Bernardo of McMinnville,
Shana Martin of Aiea, HI
Sharla Smith of McMinnville
3 step-grandchildren Donielle Stotts of Viola
Johnathan Stotts of Tullahoma
Jennifer Stotts Tullahoma
several neices, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son Joe Michael Hennessee, daughter Betty Jane "Sissie" Dominy, and a brother Billy Hennessee.
A Funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with William Eversole officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2016, and Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
