    • At the age of eighteen years, he enlisted in Company "C", 11th Georgia
      Regiment, under General Longstreet.He was in every battle and skirmish in
      which Longstreet's men were engaged from Chickamauga to Appommattox Court
      House. He was wounder slightly four times and was at the surrender,
      April 9, 1865. He reached home, May 5, 1865, for the first time since his
      enlistment.
      Appears in 1910 Warren County Census.
