Notes |
- Joe L. Byars and "Belle" (b. Sep 1877 to Marion F. and Sarah E. Bolin in McLennan Co, TX), had 4 more children according to the 1910 census of N. Keokuk, Lincoln Co, Oklahoma, but only 3 (and Stella) were living.
Walter Lee Byars was born 25 Oct 1895 in TX(per OK Draft registration),
Irene Byars b. 21 Aug 1903 at Stroud, OK, and
Edna Mae Byars b. 28 Jun 1907 at Stroud, OK.
He was a farmer. They also had a son Harrell Perry Green Byars born 25 Sept 1910 in Stroud, OK but he died 12 Oct 1911, buried in Stroud Cem.
In 1920 Census Joe 48, Bell, 42, Irene 18 and Edna 12 were still near Stroud, N. Keokuk, Lincoln Co, OK.
In 1930 OK census Joe and Bell are living there with their dau. Irene and husband, John Clifford Lay, b. 31 Mar 1896, farmer.
I do not know what happened to Belle Bolin Blankenship/Blankinship Byars after that. Perhaps she died in Okla. Perhaps in the late 30s? Does anyone have a date and/or place of death on her?
Presumably after her death, Joe went to live with his dau. Edna Mae and Everett Burns at Oroville, Butte Co, California. He died there 29 April 1942.
