Roger, son and heir of John FitzRobert by his wife Ada de Balliol, was born after 1219 (a minor at his father's death).
He married Isabel of Dunbar, daughter of Patrick, 6th Earl of Dunbar by Euphame, daughter of William de Brus.
Roger and Isabel had one son and one daughter:
Roger FitzRoger, Knt., married Margery la Zouche
Euphame, married (1) William Comyn, Knt., (2) Andrew de Moray, Knt.
Roger FitzJohn died at a tournament in Normandy shortly before 22 June 1249.
