      HUDSON FALLS — Arne Francis Kozak, 68, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side.

      Born in Flushing, New York on November 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Harold Victor and Lillian (Schall) Kozak.

      Arne graduated from Patchogue High School.

      On February 13, 1971 Arne married Karen Elizabeth Brown in Patchogue, New York.

      After serving 20 years, from 1968 to 1988, Arne retired from the United States Army. Most recently he enjoyed spending his time working at Top of the World Golf Course until his sickness.

      Some of his hobbies were deep sea fishing and salmon fishing the Pulaski River. Above all Arne especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

      Along with his parents, Arne was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Jean Sachs.

      Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Karen E. (Brown) Kozak of Hudson Falls; three daughters, Krista A. (Kevin) Crosbie of South Glens Falls, Carrie M. (Kyle) Hennessee of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Meggan E. (Chris) Paige of Hudson Falls; grandchildren include Joshua and Anna Caudill, Benjamin and Oliver Crosbie, Patrick and Aiden Hennessee, Connor, Kaitlynne, Madeleine, Seamus, Isabella, Aonghus, Lillian and Maximus Paige; a great-grandson, Sigurd Arne Blue.

      Calling hours will take place Monday, July 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

      A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 5, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Busch officiating.

      A graveside service, with military honors, will follow at Gerald B. H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville.

      Donations in his loving memory may be made to C. R. Wood Cancer Center, 102 Park St., Glens Falls, NY 12801, or to High Peaks Hospice, 79 Glenwood Ave. Second Floor, Queensbury, NY, 12804.

      The family wishes to send a special thanks to Dr. Charles Yun, the medical staff at the Charles R. Wood Cancer Center and Denise Hermanson of High Peaks Hospice.
