Biography
In 3 Richard II, 1379, Sir Thomas Dutton, knight, was granted a perpetual chantry to pray for the salvation of him and his children and of Philippa his wife, and for the soul of dame Ellen, his late wife, by William Eltonhed, prior of the Hermit Fryars of the Order of St Augustine at Warrington in Lancashire and the convent there.[1]
