Funeral for Sterling "Buster" Tracy, 74, of Sherman, who died Sunday at Medical Plaza Hospital will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Danny Woods and Lon McVegh will officiate. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Tracy was born October 19, 1913 in Daingerfield, son of Sterling H. and Hettie Smith Tracy. He married Margaret Inez Flowers, November 2, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Tracy was a retired welder, a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 100 and a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member ot the Travis Street Masonic Lodge 117 AF and AM and a member of Dallas Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife of Sherman ; two sons, Terry Tracy of Duncanville and Edward Tracy of Rice ; brother, Leo Tracy of Springtown ; sister, Inez McViegh of Denison ; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will be at the residence, 1605 Mildred. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Flowers, Lloyd Tracy, Larry Tracy, Buddy Tracy, Harold Taylor and Terry Taylor. [3]
