Francis Tanfield, Esq. of Gayton, etc., Northamptonshire, England, son and heir born about 1512, married Bridget Cave, daughter of Richard Cave, Esq., of Stanford-on-Avon, Northamptonshire, Sheriff of Northamptonshire 1530-1, by his 2nd wife Margaret, daughter of John Saxby, Merchant of the Staple of Calais. [3]
