- Elizabeth may have been buried at Gee/Gibbs Cemetery. Old cemetery records show her daughter Agnes Byars Gee buried here and several of her grandchildren. There is a reference to Elizabeth Byars born in North Carolina with notes "tombstone broken".
Elizabeth married Stripling Byars (1768-1836). He died in Jefferson County, Alabama. [2]
