- Clyde Henry Love was born May 4, 1914, to Henry and Birdie (nee Lucas) Love, in Foyil, Oklahoma.
Clyde was reared in Foyil, Oklahoma and was the oldest of four siblings. His siblings are: Mary, William Roy, Virginia, and Jewel Lucas Love.
In the 1930's Clyde married Mary Emma (nee Graham) Love from Claremore, Oklahoma. Clyde and Mary Love had four children: Beatrice Love Rowland, Mary Love Hardman, Barbara Love Crowder and Dewey Love.
Clyde worked construction as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the union. Clyde was a foreman with Manhattan Construction Company and helped build many of the historic buildings and structures in and around Muskogee County including: The Royal Casket building, the viaduct located at the intersection of Main and Court streets in Muskogee, a bridge built in 1936 between Claremore and Tulsa, etc. Clyde and Mary divorced after 1954.
Clyde moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma where he remarried twice: to Lucille (who expired in 1976) and to Pearl Anderson (who expired in 1979). Clyde did have a fifth child, Roy Henry Love, born in 1965, who died as an infant the same year (1965). His son, Roy, is also buried at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.
Clyde remained in Shawnee until his death, at age 67, on 02/14/1982 where he expired in his home [2]
