Notes |
- Eva Nell was born to Pervy and Delia Bigham in Brown County, Texas, June 25th, 1938. At 14, her family migrated from Texas to Pixley, California. That's where she met Alvin Lee Hennessee. They wed May 1st, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Acquiring her GED from Delano High was a proud feat. She encouraged her kids to do well in school and spent countless hours volunteering in their classes and the PTA's. Summers, the kids were enrolled in reading contests at Delano Library.
Generations of Hennessees have spent hours observing and attempting to emulate her chocolate pies and potato salad. Clothes were made on her "Singer" sewing machine with every newborn receiving baby quilts!
Eva, passed away bravely from a prolonged battle with cancer May 2nd. Her presence will be missed, however, comforted that her physical pain has ceased. She will be cremated and laid to rest at the Arvin National Cemetery.
She is survived by Alvin her husband for 60 years and a day, brothers-Jess, Kenneth, Tom, Jerry, Billy, sisters- Shirley, Marcella, Katie, and Victoria. In-laws John and Norma Hennessee, Annie Bogges, Gerogia Hightower, Barbara Payer, Larry Hennessee, and Patsy Lane.
