Thom Montgomery writes...
Perry had moved to Arizona at one point, living there with Gertrude in 1930. When I married Dinah and met Perry Vernon, he was operating a pawn shop in Clovis, New Mexico. He fatally shot an intruder one night. He and Helen had split up in the 1940s but in about 1951 he had remarried her. Emma I met--part of her divorce settlement was a bar in Albuquerque, NM. She died some time after 1963....Her mother and Grandmother were still living when my daughter, Laura was born--making Laura the fifth living generation of women in her family at the time. Mary Benson, Emma Benson, Emma McVey, Dinah Lee and Laura Diane. [3]
