  Patsy Reed Whitehead died on October 10, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She was born to John Pat Reed and Annie Hester Earls on February 12, 1929. She moved to West Texas at the age of 12 and graduated as Valedictorian of Union High School in 1947. The day after graduation, Arris Bryan Whitehead walked into the Wackers Five and Dime Store in Lamesa Texas, the two of them fell in love, and they married on January 16, 1948 in a double wedding with Arris’ brother Maxie and his bride Barbara. Patsy gave birth to three children. She was devoted to them and cherished being their mother. She took care of her mother and father as well as other family members. Patsy inherited a sense of humor from her father and loved being around people who enjoyed laughter.
