Elsie H. Houser, 89, of Hickory, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Houser was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Burke County, to the late Millard T. Hennessee I and LaMere Kincaid Hennessee.
She was a member of Fairgrove Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Argel H. Clontz and her husband, Howard, of Hickory and Nancy H. Adams and her husband, Jim, of Conover; son, Steve Houser of Newton; sisters, Catherine King and Lena Cooper of Morganton; brothers, M.T. Hennessee II of Baltimore, Md. and Carl Hennessee and Ervin Hennessee, both of Morganton; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Houser; daughter, Brenda H. Morris; son, Douglas E. "Bud" Houser; brother, Fred Hennessee; and sister, Evelyn Hennessee. [1]
