Notes |
- I did get a copy of the Will of John's father Hamilton, who died in 1815 in Rutherford, N.C. It lists all of his children, who would be John's siblings, but no grandchildren. [3]
- August 12, 2010:
Hi,
I hope you are still active here and that you can help me. I am trying to trace the family of my gggg-grandfather John Reynolds who migrated to Arkansas with his son Hamilton Reynolds (b. 1812) sometime before 1835.
I have found reference on several genealogical sites to a John Reynolds who married Catherine/Kathy Magness in Rutherford N.C. on July 7, 1810.
His parents are listed as Hamilton/Hambleton Reynolds and Sarah Lea. Her parents are Peregrine Magness, Jr. and Mary.
I haven't been able to find a list of their children or if they migrated to Arkansas to confirm that I have the right John Reynolds, but the place and timing, plus family names fit. Do you have any information on the Magness-Reynolds connection?
I am sending a note to your email listed here as well. Thank you. Tammy Reynolds Hensel [1]
