    • "Warren County,Tennessee,Cemetery Book 1,Annotated,Cemeteries A-F",Edited and Compiled by Mrs. Betty M. Majors, 1993, p. 134;

      "BURLISON FAMILY GRAVEYARD

      Location: On Shellsford Road behind J.B. Higginbotham home.

      BURLISON, John, son of M. and D. Burlison, died 25 Feb 1856, aged 17 years, 2 months and 8 days. (Son of Moses and Delila (Hogan) Burlison, grandson of Aaron Burlison. Delila Hogan was the daughter of Edward Hogan. John Burlison had 4 sisters and on brother.)

      This cemetery is located on the old Moses Burlison home place, and is the buring (sp) place of Moses, his Delila and several members of this family. All of the stones have been destroyed except the one above, and a large field stone."

      Note: Researchers have identified another John BURLISON, who they erroneously assign as a son of Aaron BURLISON III. This BURLISON descendant has similar birth and death dates, however he is buried in an unmarked grave at Shellsford Cemetery...DAH [2]
