--He married Evelyn Wilkins on Dec. 27, 1929 in Wayne County, NC. They had 2 sons: Meredith Hunter Hennessa, Jr. and Grant Wilkins Hennessa.
--Occupation: Furniture Salesman in Shelby in 1930. Salesman with a wholesale radio company in Charlotte in 1940. He was later self employed in furniture sales.
--Following his death, his wife moved to Virginia and died there in 1991. It appears she did not use her spot in their double headstone. [3]
