Was just wondering IF Amanda Jane Merriman, whom was married to David A. Cantrell, Son of Abraham Cantrell and Sarah Durham, could of possibly listed her first name as her middle name? I have ONLY been able to locate one federal census record, in 1870 with Amanda J. and D.A Cantrell on it and a list of some children, and nothing after or before that.
I have children of David A. Cantrell, whom was born in 1825 [ no full date ] in Warren County Tennessee, son Abraham Cantrell and Sarah Durham. David A. Cantrell married first to Margaret Blair, in about 1845 in Davidson County, Tennessee, and together they had two children:
1] Mary Eleanor Cantrell born : 1846 Tennessee
2] Sarah J. Cantrell Born 1848, Tennessee
then she must of died, and David then married Amanda Jane Maerriman in 24 Nov 1856, Davidson County, Tennessee. She was born in 1833 in Tennessee. No Parents on her that I have been able to locate. Children born of the couple are:
1] Francis F. Cantrell, B: 24 Jan 1858 Davidson Co. Tennessee, she died 31 Aug 1939 Nashville Tennessee, Davidson Co. Married to John Burgess.They had 3 children that I have been able to confirm.
2] James B. Cantrell, Born Feb 1860 Davidson Co. Tennessee, Was Married to Louise A. Simpkins on 12 Feb 1878 in DeKalb co. Tennessee, together they had 7 children, that I am still in the process of confirming.
3] William Cantrell, Born 1865 Davidson Co. Tennessee, do NOT know anything else about him or if he married and had family. Am having a difficult time trying to locate anything about him. other than he is listed in the 1870 Federal census in Tennessee.
4] Martha C. Cantrell, Born abt 1866 in Davidson Co. Tennessee, again no info on her
5] Albert Lee Cantrell, Born Dec 1870 in Davidson County, Tennessee. again no other info.
